Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Start Service Applications are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 4:45 PM.

Starting Service

Frederick Water requires at least one (1) business day notice to begin service. If you require same day service, a $50.00 Same Day Fee will be due and payable at the time of application.

Please bring the following information with you:

  1. A government-/state-issued picture identification (e.g. license, ID, passport).
  2. A deposit of $75 for water service and $75 for sewer service plus a $25 administrative fee is required for each account and due at the time of application.
  3. Tenant Authorization Form, if renting. CLICK HERE FOR THE TENANT AUTHORIZATION FORM.
  4. Realtors/Businesses/Owner Representatives – A notarized letter from the owner or officer of the company stating that the person appearing may act on behalf of real estate company, business or owner and place service in and bill said real estate company, business or owner.
  5. Property Manager – A fully executed copy of the property management/owner agreement is required.

Stopping Service

We require at least one business day notice to end service.

You may discontinue your water and/or sewer service with us by contacting us either by E-mail at customerservice@frederickwater.com, or by phone with the following information:

  1. Your name.
  2. Address of desired property to be discontinued. Please indicate whether the property was sold or is a rental.
  3. Date of discontinuance.
  4. Forwarding address for final bill or check mailing.
  5. Contact info in case of question. (phone or E-mail).

NOTE: PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST ONE BUSINESS DAY TO HAVE SERVICE DISCONTINUED.
